Lymmvale & Lymmvale Stock Pond

Brief description of fishery:

Lymm Vale is a former sand quarry of around 6.5 acres. It is one of the most beautiful and enigmatic specimen waters anywhere in the country. The water holds the British golden orfe record but unfortunately these pretty fish vanished many years ago . Specimen tench, carp, and cats along with good sized bream and big eels are on offer here, with the tench fishing in particular providing some of the finest sport in the Northwest. Hauls of 30 tench in a session are possible and fish to over the magical 10lb mark provide targets for the dedicated specimen hunter. The water also holds a particularly good head of beautifully marked carp with the ghosties being the most attractive. Many of these fish are now over 20lb and a few have reached 30lb. Catfish to over 90lb round off the excellent range of specimens that hide in the depths of Lymmvale.

Lymmvale’s stock pond contains numerous small tench, carp, roach and rudd and is an excellent float water.
