River Dee – Bangor on Dee
Brief description of fishery:
Situated on the outskirts of the picturesque market town of Bangor on Dee this double and single banked access allows anglers access to some amazing upper river Dee fishing. Although considered the upper dee this area enjoys a mixture of course and game species to specimen sizes with good heads of chub, dace and pike caught in the area. The venue also offers those anglers who like a challenge access to water where rumours of barbel caught by fly anglers is common, just check the Bangor on Dee anglers catch report web pages. Access & Parking
Parking point A left hand bank – From junction 15 M56 join the M53 towards Chester and continue as this becomes to A55 until you reach junction 38 join the A483 Oswestry bound until you reach junction 2. At top of slip road turn left and join the B5426 stay on the B5426 and follow signs for Bangor on Dee, after 2.5 miles at the roundabout turn right onto the A528, after 500 yards turn left onto Eytonhall Lane, after 1000 yards enter farm and park were indicated on the map.
Parking point B for right hand bank – As above but remain on the B5426, turn left at the T junction with A525 and then after 200 yards take the first right this will take you over the old Bangor on Dee bridge. Take your first right onto Overton Road and continue on this passing under the A525 bridge then head for the B5069 Bangor Road, after ¾ of a mile turn right and enter the farm and park were indicated on the map.
