Oasis & Poplars Pools on Hampton Springs Fishery

Brief description of fishery:

Both pools offer excellent sport all year round and are a great asset to our portfolio.

Poplars,is the first pool you encounter on entering the fishery, and is half an acre in size.  It is in a sheltered situation with mature trees bordering its far bank, ideal for those windy days and Winter fishing.  With an average depth of 4-6’ it has a central island and two lily beds at either end providing some nice features to fish to.

It is stocked with a range of fish including mirror/common carp to 16lbs chub, tench, bream, perch, roach, Crucian carp and barbel. Fishing is consistently good all year round and Poplars is a favourite with pleasure men in the Summer and match men in Winter.  Pole and waggler are the best methods with an occasional small ledger to the island or to the opposite bank if no anglers fishing. Corn, meat, pellet and maggots are the preferred baits.

Oasis is a 15 peg, half acre lake set behind Alice Springs. It has a separate car park with close proximity to pegs. This is a good pole lake as every peg has an island to fish to at 12-15m. There is a good head of silver fish in this lake with plenty of skimmers, rudd and roach. F1s have also been stocked in large numbers with some up to 4lbs in weight. Mirror and common carp can reach up to 10lbs with the average in the region of 4-5bs. Best baits are pellets, sweetcorn, luncheon meat and because of the large numbers of silver fish maggots, castors, and worm

Free fishing is available to the MEMBER ONLY. Children and spouses/partners fishing with the member must pay the daily rate. There may be an odd occasion where this pool has been pre-booked in which case if that occurs Lymm members will have free fishing on one of the complex other pools. Members must familiarise themselves with the onsite fishery rules and bait restrictions and MUST at all times follow any directions given by the owner or his staff.
